Humanoid Robot FAQ
Common questions about humanoid robots, deployment, costs, safety, and working with HumanoidX.
Deployment
5A humanoid robot is a machine designed with a body form that resembles the human form — with a head, torso, two arms, and two legs. Modern humanoid robots can walk, speak, perceive their environment, and perform a range of physical and conversational tasks. They are designed to operate in spaces built for humans.
At an event, a HumanoidX-deployed humanoid robot can welcome guests, answer event-specific questions, hold natural conversations in English and French, create memorable photo and video moments, represent a brand or organization, and assist with simple supervised tasks. The robot is always supervised by a trained HumanoidX operator.
Yes, when properly deployed. HumanoidX follows conservative safety protocols: defined operating zones, continuous human supervision, speed and movement limits, and clear escalation procedures. Our robots do not operate unsupervised in public. All deployments include a trained on-site operator who can intervene at any time.
Yes. HumanoidX deploys humanoid robots for corporate events, private functions, galas, product launches, school events, VIP receptions, and other private occasions. Use our reservation wizard or contact us to discuss your event.
For most deployments, we handle everything — the robot, operator, setup, and on-site support. You need to provide a safe operating area and, where applicable, access to power. We discuss space and environmental requirements in advance during the planning process.
Pricing
3Event deployments start at $2,000 CAD for a half-day and $3,500 CAD for a full day, including programming, delivery, setup, and on-site supervision. Pilot and managed deployments are priced based on scope, duration, and requirements. Contact us for a quote.
We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance for event deployments to allow time for programming and preparation. Longer projects benefit from more advance planning. Reach out as early as possible to discuss your timeline.
A pilot deployment is a shorter-term engagement designed to test a humanoid robot in your specific environment. A managed deployment is an ongoing arrangement where HumanoidX provides the robot, programming, monitoring, and support on a recurring basis. Pilots often lead to managed deployments once the use case is validated.
Technology
2Yes. Bilingual French-English interaction is available as part of our standard deployment offering. HumanoidX is a Montréal-based company and bilingual service is a priority for us.
A robot archetype is a role-based deployment model that gives the robot a defined purpose, personality, conversation style, knowledge base, safety limits, and success metrics. Rather than deploying a generic robot, HumanoidX programs the robot for a specific role — such as The Engaging Host, a hospitality concierge, a campus guide, or a trade show ambassador.
